International Thank You Day, which falls on January 11th, is regarded as one of the most "polite” days in the world. You know, it is good to remind each and everyone that words of gratitude are of great importance because they really possess magic qualities: they bring people happiness and help them to be attentive to one another.
When we arrive in a foreign country, the first thing we do is find out how to greet the people we meet and of course, how to thank them in their language. The words "thank you” even if they are pronounced with an accent, magically improve both the speed and the quality of service. Why does this happen? As you know, there’s nothing material in these words.
The Russian word "spasibo” (thank you in English) appeared in the 16th century. However, it became widely used only in the 20th century.
"When we pronounce words of gratitude, we hope that our life will become better. Make an effort and you’ll see that your life will undergo positive changes in no time at all. It happens sometimes that the lack of positive attitude creates problems. And sometimes you simply need to change your attitude to life and express it by means of gratitude."
Gratitude is a very important element of psychological comfort, and the most important thing here is that people should be sincere while pronouncing the "magic” words. Only in this case will it work!
